Alexander Witteveen

After completing his studies in Design and Design of interaction (user centered design) at the Hague University and receiving his Master’s degree (MSc) Media Technology at Leiden University, Alexander joined Google as a project manager in Human Factors. He was responsible for formulating, researching, developing and testing various UX- and Usability Projects.

After Google, Alexander joined Agency NL (formely known as SenterNovem). At Agency NL he managed three interdepartmental positions, namely: Program Manager, Innovation-Oriented research Programme (IOP) Human-Machine Interaction (MMI), International Programme Secretary STEVIN (Language and Speech Technology) and as a consultant for the Innovation Program High-Tech Systems and Materials (Point One). Responsibilities that fall under these positions are: strategy definition, interpretation, elaboration and delegated implementation Year Plan, switching and tuning with an advisory committee and external experts as well as monitoring and surveillance of 20 committed R & D projects (180K € to 1M €, 2 to 4 year lifespan).

The core competencies which define Alexander are, drive, creativity (both process- and content -oriented), initiative, pragmatic thinking, organizational skills, stress resistant and able to think laterally. Alexander is a “hub” and a inspired networker who enables communication between people from different layers and disciplines.

Since October 2010, Alexander started as a project manager at DANS (IT Applications Development & Consulting), for a myriad of projects.
